Dear Dr. Gott: Several members of my family suffer from osteoarthritis. My sister, brother and I have been using the grape juice and Certo remedy (8 ounces of grape juice with 1 tablespoon Certo) daily. My brother has already stopped taking Celebrex. My question is, is it safe for someone who has had heart bypass surgery and is on blood thinners (ASA/Coumadin) to take this therapy? Since Certo thickens jams and jellies, we are concerned that it could thicken the blood. My husband and my mother have had heart bypass surgery. They also have arthritis and would like to start the juice/Certo if it is safe.
